Education

Yale University

In the fall of 2024 I started work at Yale on my Masters in Music in Voice; Early Music, Oratorio, and Chamber Ensemble, also known as the Voxtet. This highly selective program admits one student for each voice part each year, for a total of 8 students during any given academic year, forming the Voxtet ensemble. In the program, students are go-to soloists for most of the musical activities at the Institute of Sacred Music, as well as other projects across the University, and function as an octet vocal ensemble, performing early music of all kinds. Being a part of the Institute of Sacred Music means students will interact with and participate in activities at the Yale School of Music, as well as the Yale Divinity School.

Westminster Choir College

I graduated from Westminster Choir College suma cum laude, gpa 3.9 in May of 2019 with my Bachelor's in Music Education. There, I developed a mastery of musical knowledge, skill, and instinct that has served me ever since. At Westminster, in addition to studying private voice with Dr. Eric Rieger, I participated in at least six regular choirs, including but not limited to the Westminster Choir, Westminster Kantorei, and Westminster Symphonic Choir. I toured the US, Spain, and China, performed at various national conferences such as ACDA and state conferences such as FMEA, recorded an album, and performed with some of the top orchestras of the country including the Philadelphia Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, St. Luke’s Orchestra, Juilliard 415, and more.

Conducting & Teaching

Since graduating in May of 2019 with my degree in Music Education from Westminster Choir College, I've been expanding my skills and connections in the world of music. In the summer of 2019, I attended the Delaware Choral Symposium as a conducting scholar, studying conducting in France privately with top conductors and scholars such as Edith Copley, Paul Head, Andrew Kreckmann, and Carolann Buff, and podium time with the choirs of the University of Delaware. I assisted in workshops with the Voces8 Scholars and Teaching Artists through the Voces8 Foundation, and as a cofounder, artistic consultant, and associate chair of repertoire for startup choir Convoco, a democratically led small ensemble, I find myself regularly programming, performing score study, and rehearsing the group.

Bachakademie Stuttgart

Last March, I travelled to Ochsenhausen, Germany, to live in the Landesakademie, a former monastery turned music academy, to study and work with world renowned conductors Kathey Romey, Hans-Christoph Rademann, and Jos Van Veldhoven. There, and after a week, in the Hochschule für Technik in Stuttgart, we performed seven concerts featuring music by J.S. Bach, including the Easter Oratorio, Ascension Oratorio, Mass in A Major (tenor soloist), and multiple cantatas, works by Handel, including all of the Coronation Anthems and the birthday Ode to Queen Anne, as well as an assortment of masterworks by Latin American Baroque composers.

In 2022 I was accepted to and attended Talks with Tenet, a 6-month mentorship program Talks with TENET designed to assist young singers to build their careers in early music and chamber ensemble singing. The parent ensemble TENET is known for their "innovative programming, virtuosic singing, and command of repertoire that spans the Middle Ages to the present day" and seeks to spread it's wealth of knowledge to driven musicians new to the world of choral music.
